Welcome to the Brooklands Club

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of BGC Winnipeg’s newest Club at Brooklands School in the city’s west end!

This exciting collaboration was born out of a community need to support students as they transition to junior high and high school, often in different neighborhoods and socioeconomic settings. At BGC Winnipeg, we know that regular Club participation boosts school engagement and success, and we’re committed to helping Brooklands youth thrive.

The official launch on October 2nd coincided with the school’s Back-to-School BBQ, creating the perfect opportunity to connect with students, parents, and teachers. Since then, we’ve welcomed a consistent group of 15 youth across two age groups: grades 4-5 and grades 6-12.

Early Highlights Include:

  • Attending a Sea Bears basketball camp
  • Hosting a festive holiday party
  • Kicking off a ball hockey program
  • A field trip to Hide and Seek

We’re excited to grow alongside this amazing community and can’t wait to offer even more opportunities in the months ahead.

Thank you, Brooklands, for the warm welcome – we’re so happy to be here!
